we're gonna need a bigger bed

Our wiggle worm sure knows what she wants!

She lets us know it too! Crying and screaming when she's upset, and smiley shrieks when she is happy. Wait no, she sounds more like a baby wookie when she is happy. It's quite endearing actually. :)

Back to what she wants: I was eating a bunch of veggie and flaxseed chips from Trader Joe's when my little munchkin decided she wanted it instead. She promptly opened my mouth, put her hand in and grabbed the chip! Little stinker.

She started solid foods a few weeks ago, and we've learned that she is not a fan of rice cereal but loves bananas like her daddy. She also likes pears (and I love the face she makes after eating them!). It's been a few days so I was going to pick up an avocado for her to try tonight, but Daniel wants to try sweet potatoes next.

We have been trying to get her to sleep in the crib, but she isn't having it. She doesn't mind sleeping there for an hour or two, so she will nap there throughout the day, but it's like she knows the difference between a nap and nighttime sleep, so she will scream and scream while staring at the bed until she is in the middle of the two of us. Then it's happy wookie baby again.

It's really sweet that she wants to be close to us at all times, but can someone tell my husband we need a bigger bed? ;)

  1. New visitor and follower from Bloggy Moms. Adorable pics. I know when my first baby came home, I him on the bed the first couple of days because I had to check every five minutes to make sure he was breathing ... nervous new mom.

  2. Girl, my DD will be 18mos tomorrow and she is stil in our bed. I am hoping to transition her to a toddler/big-girl bed sometime soon. I think it might be easier that way. I honestly think she views her crib as a cage. we'll see. And a bigger bed is a must. we have a king size bed so it isn't that big of a deal.
